Movement Age is a single score that compares the health of your spine, joints, and muscles to your actual age. Built entirely from current prevention research, it shows you where to focus to stay strong and mobile for longer.
Early access. Built on evidence.
Most health scores tell you about your heart, your weight, or your blood. Almost none tell you about the system that actually carries you through life: your spine, your joints, and the muscles around them.
Movement Age fills that gap. It is a single number, expressed in years, that reflects how well your musculoskeletal system is holding up compared with what would be expected at your age. A Movement Age below your chronological age means your body is ageing well. A Movement Age above it shows you where risk is building, and what to do about it.
You answer a structured set of questions about your body, your history, your activity, and your habits. No wearables, no scans, no gym test.
Your answers are weighed against the prevention research, region by region. Every factor in the score is there because the evidence says it changes your risk. Nothing is included because it is trendy.
You see which factors are driving your score and which ones you can change, and get a prevention plan built around those rather than a generic programme.
Every factor in Movement Age comes from the Protero research database, where we map what genuinely prevents injury and pain, region by region. We rate each study by evidence strength, note its limitations, and record what it does and does not show. When the evidence is strong, we say so. When it is mixed, we tell you that too.

Read the evidence behind every region→Movement Age is an educational tool. It does not diagnose, it does not replace assessment by a clinician, and it will never tell you that pain is fine to ignore. If you have symptoms, see a professional. What it does is show you, in plain language, where your risk sits and what the research says you can do about it.

The score itself is designed to be free. Deeper, personalised prevention plans may sit in a paid tier once the app launches.
We are building it now, region by region. Waitlist members get early access and updates as each region goes live.
Spine, chest and knee are mapped so far, with more regions being added.
No. Movement Age is educational health information. It is not a substitute for assessment by a clinician.
